1. Timeline : 1997 Beginning of my life
I was born in Guwahati Assam, India to Assamese parents: Amlandeep Das and Monmi Das on the 28th October 1994. My dad is a sports enthusiast, got selected for Assam team Ranji Trophy in cricket. He also played tennis too and hence introduced me to this as well. It all started when I began my training in a local tennis club. That was the place when I touched the racket for the first time and began to know the secrets of this wonderful game. I am the eldest of the two children. The place where I live is one of the largest urban cities in the Indian state of Assam and also in Northeast India. A major riverine port city and one of the fastest growing cities in India, Guwahati is situated on the south bank of the Brahmaputra.
2. 2000- Beginning of tennis
I started playing when I was 7 years old, along with other kids in the local club. My coaches realized that I picked up the game quickly than others, saw something in me where I can put more effort in the game . As time passed by, my parents decided to take me to club to train for extra hours. This taught me the importance of the sport, discipline, work-ethic , hard work , persistence, sportsmanship, dedication and right technique on court. It was a very important step for me having humble coaches giving me the right steps and directing me with their knowledge from the beginning of time.

3. 2003 – Turning pro: Winning my first title
I won the under 12 regional tournaments and it gave a certain amount of confidence in my game. When I finished playing matches, I remember my dad bringing me a tennis kit for the first time for displaying a fantastic game.
4. My rise in the game and getting introduced to other extra circular activities (2004-2010)
I began touring across the state and country to compete with the best of the players in Assam and India. After bringing accolades in Under 12, competing in Under -14, 16, and 18 wasn’t easy. The happiest moment was when I got selected for Nationals twice and National camps. Some matches were memorable, and some were extremely bad. Still, I managed to win many tournaments in Regionals, States, Inter-Schools, Districts, etc. and became Number 1 in the State and Assam State Champion for 2-3 years. I remained in the top 10 in the State ranking tournaments for almost 6-7 years. My highest ranking in the country was 128. Besides tennis, I am professionally trained in Swimming, Drawing/Sketching/Painting, Choir, Indian Classical Music, Piano, etc. I have brought laurels in these categories. Winning didn’t happen only in tennis, and I won several clubs and school matches in Badminton, Table Tennis, Athletics, Volleyball, and Basketball. Besides my sports achievements, I won several awards in Art and Street Plays and performed my first Piano concert at 17.
